EEL

The eel, native to Europe, belongs to the river eel family and can be found throughout Europe, Asia Minor and North Africa - wherever there is a water connection to the Atlantic. It has a snake-like, elongated, round and smooth body. The eel's thick skin contains countless barely visible round scales. The eel is on the red list of critically endangered species.
