SWAMP IRIS
The native swamp iris likes to settle on moist banks of ponds and streams. The plant is easily recognized by its flat, sword-shaped foliage. In spring it grows from a strong rhizome into a clumpy perennial up to 80 cm high. Visible from afar, the iris flowers are bright yellow and have a diameter of up to 10 cm.
